Job summary

Parts Authority in Dorchester, MA seeks a Dispatcher with strong customer service experience to join our fast-paced logistics team. The dispatcher coordinates driver routes, tracks deliveries, and serves as the primary contact for customers.

Qualifications

• Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards according to department requirements.
• Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment.

• Time management and ability to work varying shifts and overtime.
• 1-2 years warehouse experience preferred.
• Current, valid driver’s license; meet company insurance requirements (21+).

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers' routes and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Use the dispatch program to track orders and assign runs to drivers.
• Ensure driver collects money and records delivery times on bills.
• Coordinate with Parts Pullers to ensure correct deliveries.
• Work with drivers to confirm correct routes.
• Keep customers updated on order status by phone.
• Assist drivers who have route or other job difficulties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a dispatcher to join our high energy, fun, and fast paced work environment. The dispatcher is responsible for scheduling the drivers routes and ensuring on-time, accurate deliveries. We only want dynamic, career-minded people who are willing to dedicate themselves to this job.

• Work well with customers
• Use the dispatch program to track orders from other stores and set up/ distribute runs to drivers
• Ensure that driver counts money collected and put delivery times on bills
• Work with Parts Pullers to ensure the deliveries go out correctly
• Work with drivers to make sure that they know the correct route
• Work with customers over the phone to update them on the status of their orders
• Properly assist drivers who have difficulty with routes or any other aspect of the job
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 1-2 years Warehouse experience preferred.
• Current, valid driver’s license
• Must be able to meet company insurance requirements- (drivers must be 21 years old or over)
• Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse
• Maintain and promote workplace safety
• Securing and transferring cash or other assets.
