Job summary

WeDriveU, Inc. is seeking an experienced Operations Manager in Peoria, IL to lead shuttle and transportation services. You will supervise direct reports, optimize driver scheduling, and ensure efficient vehicle utilization while maintaining safety and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Operations Management, with 3 years in ground transportation preferred, college education optionally substituting work experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred to support operations background.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the performance of direct-report personnel per company policy.
• Schedule and dispatch drivers for maximum efficiency; monitor trips and overflow calls.
• Manage direct and indirect hours; minimize overtime and fill open shifts for drivers and dispatchers.
• Collect and audit employees' time sheets.
• Ensure optimal utilization of vehicles; optimize routing and document support.
• Collect key passenger transportation data and report findings.
• Document and manage customer or employee complaints; address concerns with GM.
• Assist General Manager in Annual Operating Plan preparation and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with policies; discuss breaches with the GM.
• Meet with customers regularly to review service quality and strengthen relationships.
• Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner; monitor budgets and contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate the performance of all direct-report personnel on a regular basis according to company policy.
• Schedule and dispatch drivers for maximum efficiency. Monitor trips and handle overflow calls.
• Manage direct and indirect hours, minimizing overtime for the employees. Fill open shifts for drivers and dispatchers.
• Collect and audit employees' time sheets.
• Ensure the effective utilization of vehicles and optimize vehicle routing and record supporting documentation.
• Ensure that key passenger transportation data is collected.
• Document and manage customer or employee complaints.
• Assist General Manager in preparation of the Annual Operating Plan and subsequent analysis of variance.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies and/or processes by action and speech. Discuss any breech of policy and procedure noted with the General Manager.
• Meet regularly with customers to review service quality and performance, address other business issues and enhance the relationship.
• Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
• Responsible for knowledge of CSC contracts, finances budget and operational requirements

Skills Required and Physical Demands

• Ability to multitask and pay extreme attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and problem solve.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced excel skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to lift 25+ pounds, climb stairs, and be on your feet for an extended period.

Education and Qualifications

Hard requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Operations Management , with 3 years in ground transportation industry preferred; this can be waived with a minimum of 1-year supervisory experience. College education can be substituted for up to 2 years required work experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.

Preferred requirements

• Experience in public or private alternative transportation demand management (TDM)
• Knowledge of DMV policies and procedures
