Job summary

Crane Cartage LLC in Pennsylvania seeks an Operations Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse and transportation operations, supervise staff, and ensure safety and policy compliance.

You will review driver logs, audits, and coordinate with Safety & Compliance, while managing performance and planning with the Operations Manager.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, four years in the industry, and at least two years in supervision, with strong problem solving and client service.

  • Two years supervisory required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure execution of daily operations within the department.
  • Review & audit drivers logs and inspections.
  • Work closely with Safety & Compliance.
  • Accountable for production, supervision and discipline of employees.
  • Monitor and evaluate employees based on goals and standards.
  • Enforce policy and procedure compliance.
  • Coordinate with other departments within the company.
  • Respond to problems.
  • Train employees on job specific duties.
  • Make suggestions and show initiative for process improvements.
  • Effectively communicate with drivers, clients, vendors and employees.
  • Assist Operations Manager with planning and budget process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Walking within the warehouse and inspecting freight.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Job will require presence on-site at the assigned work location.
