Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Coppell, TX is seeking an experienced transportation supervisor to oversee driver owner/operator activities, dispatch, and port coordination. Qualifications

• Two (2) years or more related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all driver owner/operator activities including pick-up/delivery and port interactions.
• Dispatch and track port and store delivery and LTL drivers.
• Coordinate with warehouse managers to ensure efficient flow of product.
• Manage dispatch, customer service, brokerage and maintenance within transportation.
• Ensure compliant use of equipment and maintenance as per SLAs.
• Maintain service levels per customer agreements and reduce driver turnover.
• Maximize revenue per truck while minimizing deadhead and turndowns.
• Monitor transportation trends and technology applicable to operations.
