Job summary

MEI is seeking a Dispatcher for the North East region to coordinate rigging crews, schedule equipment, and ensure DOT compliance across jobs in Maryland. The role includes managing paperwork, data entry in WrightPlan, and daily dispatch updates.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years dispatching experience in rigging/transportation, strong communication and project management skills, and proficiency with MS Office and related software.

Qualifications

• Require high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years dispatching or related experience in rigging/transportation.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Creative thinking and problem solving abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and schedule crews and equipment for each job, including travel and non-job tasks.
• Manage paperwork for daily export packing crew responsibilities.
• Assign and dispatch crews to jobs based on skill sets and requirements.
• Dispatch equipment and tools, schedule maintenance and paperwork for repairs.
• Prepare and distribute all required job-related paperwork to relevant groups.
• Enter data into WrightPlan and review labor hours in ADP for final approval.
• Update dispatch board daily with pending and confirmed jobs.
• Coordinate drop-off/pick-up of equipment across locations; supervise driving/rigging teams.
• Provide new hire orientation on safety, timekeeping and attendance requirements.
