Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking an Assistant Dispatcher to work with the Dispatcher/Operations Manager in directing and coordinating the ordering and delivery of materials to customers. This role emphasizes scheduling, communication with drivers, and maintaining accurate dispatch records.

The position requires a minimum of 2 years in dispatching and a High School Degree or GED. You will operate in a fast-paced office/warehouse setting with a team-focused culture and opportunities to grow within

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of dispatching experience.
• High School Degree or GED required.
• Ability to communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate ordering and delivery of materials to customers.
• Maintain dispatch logs, delivery records, and transportation reports.
• Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and internal departments to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Respond promptly to schedule changes, delays, emergencies, and operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation requirements.
• Communicate with customers and drivers to ensure service standards are met.
• Monitor and adjust schedules to optimize route efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with operations to support warehouse receiving and distribution.
• Support safety initiatives and risk management investigations when needed.
