SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking an Assistant Dispatcher to work with the Dispatcher/Operations Manager in directing and coordinating the ordering and delivery of materials to customers. This role emphasizes scheduling, communication with drivers, and maintaining accurate dispatch records.

The position requires a minimum of 2 years in dispatching and a High School Degree or GED. You will operate in a fast-paced office/warehouse setting with a team-focused culture and opportunities to grow within

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of dispatching experience.
High School Degree or GED required.
Ability to communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate ordering and delivery of materials to customers.
Maintain dispatch logs, delivery records, and transportation reports.
Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and internal departments to provide updates and resolve issues.
Respond promptly to schedule changes, delays, emergencies, and operational challenges.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation requirements.
Communicate with customers and drivers to ensure service standards are met.
Monitor and adjust schedules to optimize route efficiency and on-time delivery.
Collaborate with operations to support warehouse receiving and distribution.
Support safety initiatives and risk management investigations when needed.
