Job summary

World Cafe Live is hiring dishwashers for a part-time hourly role in Philadelphia. The position offers approx. 24-36 hours per week with a base hourly range of $15-$18. Immunization against COVID-19 is required. Benefits available with full-time status after an average of 28 hours/week.

This team member reports to the Facilities Manager and Sous Chefs, contributing to two spaces: The Lounge and The Music Hall, and supports a positive work environment in a live music setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in high volume restaurant service.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift 50 lbs.
• Flexible availability including nights and weekends.
• Reliable transportation to Philadelphia and surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• Clean the venues using proper techniques and products.
• Operate the dish machine and return clean dishes.
• Break down, clean, and sanitize station at end of service.
• Remove all trash from venue and manage outdoor trash area.
• Support peers and management in providing a safe and positive work environment.

Dishwashers

We are looking for energetic team members that can help support the running of the building by joining the Back of House staff as a member of the dish team.This position offers great opportunities for responsible and proactive professionals to bring their dedication and excitement to two unique spaces in Philadelphia. The World Cafe Live footprint includes both The Lounge (a restaurant and bar that accommodates 140 seated or 220 standing), and The Music Hall that comfortably seats 300 and expands to accommodate 650 standing.
You will be part of team reporting to the Facilities Manager and Sous Chefs with direct support from the Director of Food & Beverage. This is a part-time hourly position with possibility for benefits.

Primary Duties

• clean the venues using proper techniques and products
• support service by operating the dish machine and returning clean dishes
• properly break down, clean, and sanitize station at the end of service
• remove all trash from venue and manage outdoor trash area / dumpster relocation
• support peers and management in providing the safest and most positive work environment

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes

• Positive attitude, especially in challenging situations
• Team oriented mindset, with the ability to work indepenently
• Minimum of three years of experience in high volume restaurant service
• Ability to work autonomously
• Ability to stand for 8 hours in a row and lift 50lbs in elevated temperatures
• Must have reliable transportation to Philadelphia
• Availability to work flexible hours primarily including nights and weekends
• Appreciation for independent, small business and live music

Compensation:

This is an hourly position for approx. 24-36 hours a week with a base hourly range of $15-$18. Additional benefits available with full-time status after an average of 28 hours/week.
