Job summary

The Glades at Championsgate is seeking a Community Utility Associate to support daily food service operations in our community. You will wash dishes, manage cleaning, and assist with storage and stocking, helping maintain sanitary kitchens and dining areas.

Responsibilities include following schedules, using equipment safely, assisting with inventory and meals as needed, and coordinating with Food & Beverage leadership to ensure resident satisfaction and compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Some kitchen experience is desirable.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Must have organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Physically able to bend, reach, and lift up to 40–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Follows the posted work schedule and arrives on time.
  • Responsible for the proper washing of china, flatware, glassware, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Maintains the kitchen and other assigned areas in a sanitary condition.
  • Establishes and maintains constructive working relationships with other kitchen personnel and residents.
  • Must be familiar with food-handling procedures and regulations.
  • Operates kitchen appliances such as garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker, and ice machine.
  • May assist with food preparation, inventory, and maintenance as well as deliveries and stocking shelves.

The Community UtilityAssociate performs a variety of food service functions in maintaining clean andsanitary conditions of Community food services, facilities, and equipment.He/she is responsible for washing dishes, washing pots and pans , general and equipmentcleaning, storage and rotation of food and supplies as well as the removal of all garbage; leaving machinery empty, clean, and dry;and keeping floors clean after each meal.

Responsibilities :
  • Follows the posted work schedule andarrives on time and in appropriate work attire.
  • Responsible for the proper washing ofchina, flatware, glassware, and other kitchen equipment including machine rinsepressure and water temperature.
  • Responsible for maintaining thekitchen and other assigned areas in a sanitary condition.
  • Establishes and maintainsconstructive working relationships with other kitchen personnel and residents.
  • Must be familiar with food-handlingprocedures and regulations.
  • Must know how to operate kitchenappliances such as garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker, and ice machine.
  • May be required to help with foodpreparation, inventory, and maintenance as well as food deliveries and stockingshelves.
  • Follow all emergency procedures.
  • Understands all safety practices andprocedures.
  • Reports on-the-job injuries to the Community Cook and/or Food & Beverage Director before the end of the workshift on the day the injury occurs.
  • Communicates effectively with Food & Beverage Director and other staff.
  • Advises Food & Beverage Directorof any changes in physical or mental health of a resident immediately.
  • Maintains an acceptableattendance record, notifies Food & Beverage Director if he/she expectsto be late or unable to work in accordance with personnel policies, andfollows work schedule.
Qualifications :

  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving anddecision-making skills.
  • Physically able to bend and reach.
  • Physically able to push and pull andlift up to 40-50 pounds if necessary.
  • Physically able to standfor extended periods of time.
  • May be required to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
  • May be required to work on shifts other than the one for which hired.
  • May be required to work extended hours (up to 16 hours per day).
  • May be subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis B and C viruses.
  • Could be subject to hostile and emotionally upset Residents due to mental status.
  • Must be in good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.
  • Background, criminal, and drug tests may be required.
  • May be asked to submit to random drug test during employment.
  • May have their picture taken and image used in social media or community advertising.
  • May be video recorded from devices installed by families in residents' apartments.
