Job summary

Givens Highland Farms is seeking a dedicated part-time dishwasher to support our Independent Living dining team. The role focuses on sanitary dish washing, cleaning of equipment, and ensuring the highest quality care for residents. Shift is 11 am–8 pm with one weekend day required.

You will work in a senior living community with strong mission and growth opportunities, plus comprehensive benefits and planned development. Join a nonprofit with over 50 years of serving seniors.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent preferred.
• Approximately four weeks of supervised on-the-job training.
• Knowledge of sanitary standards for food handling.
• Ability to operate equipment in the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Ensure dish room equipment is in good working condition.
• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Complete weekly cleaning responsibilities.
• Organize and set up dish room area.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Assist in the assembly and delivery of meals to dining areas & residents.
• Sweep and mop area daily to maintain sanitary standards.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Givens Highland Farms, a premier nonprofit continuing care retirement community, is looking for a Part-time Dishwasher to help support our Independent Living dining team. The primary purpose of your position is to perform service work to attain sanitary dish washing procedures, cleaning of equipment, and to assure that the highest degree of quality care will be provided to our residents at all times. The schedule for this role is 11 am - 8 pm with one weekend day required.

What You'll Do

• Ensure all dish room equipment is in good working condition
• Complete all opening and closing duties as assigned
• Complete all assigned weekly cleaning list responsibilities
• Organize and set-up dish room area
• Maintain clean working environment
• Assist in the assembly and completion of meals, and deliver meals to the dining areas & residents as required
• Sweep & Mop area on a daily basis to maintain required sanitary standards
• Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor.

What You'll Need

• High School or GED equivalent is preferred
• Prefer on-the-job four (4) weeks of supervised training
• Working knowledge of sanitary standards related to food handling and preparation
• Must know or have the ability to handle and operate equipment in assigned area

Compensation is $17.00-$18.50 per hour based on background and experience
