Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes is hiring a Dishwasher to keep bakery equipment clean and ready as we create cakes that bring joy to thousands daily. You’ll be part of a friendly, casual team and will learn every step from washing to prep support.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• No formal education or work experience required, though prior kitchen or cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize baking pans, dishes, utensils and other tools according to NbC standards.
• Monitor sanitization levels to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Assist baker with preparing ingredients and placing pans in the oven; monitor baking process.
• Support daily baking and production flow and processes.
• Package, label and store baked cakes; maintain logs for cleanliness and rotation.
• Clean workspace: remove trash, sweep and mop floors, clean drains.
• Clean and stock workstation; ensure cleaning supplies are ready for next shift.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when restocking is needed.
• Assist in unloading, processing and storage of weekly supplies deliveries.
• Support teammates in keeping stations clean and organized and adhere to NbC policies.

Job responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

• Manually washes, rinses and sanitizes all baking pans, dishes, utensils and other tools in a thorough and timely manner and adheres to all NbC standards.


• Monitors sanitization levels to ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.


• Assists baker with accurately preparing raw ingredients and equipment for baking, places cake pans into hot oven and monitors the baking process.


• Assists baker with daily baking and production flow and processes


• Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling and storage of baked cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains baking and refrigeration logs.


• Gathers and removes garbage, sweeps and mops floors, and cleans floor drains.


• Performs routine cleaning of windows, shelves, counters, refrigerator, cooler and bathroom.


• Cleans, sanitizes and restocks workstation and ensures all cleaning supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift.


• Monitors inventory of cleaning supplies and notifies management when replenishment is required.


• Assists in the unloading, processing and storage of weekly supplies delivery.


• Supports other team members in cleaning and organizing workstations as needed.


• Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.


• Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Is able to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents such as recipes, operating procedures and health and safety rules, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities.


• Has the ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks that require the strength to lift items of moderate to heavy weight (as much as 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time.


• Is able to operate commercial-grade ovens and other bakery equipment and work adjacent to a high-heat source.


• Can evaluate processes, information and surroundings to determine compliance with standards.


• Possesses the discipline and attention to detail to strictly adhere to health and safety practices and work environment standards.


• Is diligent, organized and self-motivated, with the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.

Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.


• While no formal education or work experience is required, previous experience is a plus.
