Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services at Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, NC is hiring a DISHWASHER for both full‑time and part‑time positions. Schedule includes Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed. You will maintain dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.

Prior dishwashing experience is preferred, but not required. Training is provided to support your growth within our college dining program.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or uses dishwasher equipment, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
• Washes pots, pans and trays, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silverware using appropriate equipment, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation.
• Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by standards.
• Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Removes trash and disposes of it in designated containers.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
