Job summary

Wyndham-Deerfield-Beach-Resort in Florida is seeking a dishwasher to maintain a clean kitchen, wash and sort wares, and prep foods as needed. You will set up dish stations and keep floors clean and organized throughout shifts.

The role requires ability to follow directions, work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 60 pounds, and comply with health and safety standards. Restaurant experience is preferred and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends or holidays is expected.

• Ensure work areas are safe, clean, and orderly; follow company policies.

Description

Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized. Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks. Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Washes all wares including pots, plans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.

Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.

• Stocks serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
• Cleans trash receptacles with water or steam.
• Moves dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work area by hand or using hand trucks.
• May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
• Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to understand and meet restaurant standards for health, safety, and excellence.
• Ability to remain alert and focused in an environment that is noisy and fast-paced.

Education and Experience:

• Restaurant experience preferred.
