Job summary

Jay Peak Resort in Vermont is hiring a Dishwasher for Summer 2026. This seasonal position may start as part-time and transition to full-time, with a wage of $17 per hour. You will help maintain clean kitchens and support the Food & Beverage team in a fast-paced resort environment.

Responsibilities include washing pots and dishes, cleaning floors and surfaces, handling waste, and assisting with banquet setup. Must be available nights, weekends and holidays.

• Washes pots, pans and trays.
• Cleans dishes by hand or machine.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designed containers.
• Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Sorts bottles and breaks disposable ones in bottle crushing machine.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Sets up banquet tables.
• Washes and peels vegetables.

The Dishwasher maintains kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)

• Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
