JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the direct supervision of the Sous Chef, The Dishwasher/Steward is responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of kitchen equipment and dishware, along with production areas with the upmost quality standards. Daily duties include but are not limited to setting up or breaking down supplies and materials along with stocking staple goods, chemical stocking, and general cleaning. This position is responsible for the cleanliness of cutlery, utensils, and glassware items, and for the disposal of food and beverage refuse.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand and walk for extended periods; use hands to finger, handle, or fee object, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, bend, shake, stir, pour, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 75lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to sharp objects, slippery floors, smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity, and extreme cold. The employee regularly encounters water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items. The employee is frequently required to wash their hands. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Physical stamina and a proper mental attitude to work under pressure at a fast pace are essential. Must have the mental fortitude to handle the pressures of multiple tasks while providing excellent guest service.
The duties of this position are primarily performed in indoor climate conditions.
