Governors Club in Chapel Hill, North Carolina is seeking a reliable Dishwasher/Steward to join our fast-paced, professional team. You will operate the dishwashing area, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support food safety practices in a high-energy hospitality environment.

The role offers full- or part-time hours with benefits including paid time off, health insurance, and 401(k). Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and the ability to work in a hot kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Operate the dishwashing machine to clean and sanitize dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping floors, and removing trash.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk/bend/reach throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dishwashing machine to clean and sanitize dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans.
• Scrape, separate, and organize items prior to washing.
• Monitor and record dish-machine temperatures; report malfunctions.
• Set up and utilize a three-compartment sink for cleaning and sanitizing pots and pans.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping floors, and removing trash.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food and supply deliveries.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety.
• Support dining and serving area setup as needed.
• Perform all duties in accordance with food safety and sanitation best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
