What you will be doing

In this role, you will operate dishwashing equipment, place clean dishes in the designated storage locations, and clean designated equipment. You will dispose of kitchen substances and chemicals properly, empty and clean trash cans, transport garbage containers to dump sites, and adhere to recycling regulations. The steward sweeps and mops the kitchen floor at the end of each meal period and after spills. You will also clean and organize the work area and kitchen equipment according to procedures to maximize efficiency. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Requirements include basic reading, writing, and math skills, with some laundry experience preferred. You may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays. The ability to perform the following is necessary: regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, stand and move about the work area frequently, handle objects and equipment to maintain the facility, bend, stoop, and kneel frequently, and work in areas of high temperatures around heavy equipment.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. One to three months of related experience and/or training are preferred.
