Orchard Manor Inc. is hiring for Full-time and Part-time Food Service Aide positions in Smethport, PA. Under supervision of the Director of Food Service, you will assist in meal prep, transport trays to resident floors, and maintain sanitary food service areas.

Responsibilities include assembling trays, following safety and infection control procedures, and assisting with state inspections and surveys as assigned. Training and in-service education are provided as needed.

• Prepares and/or assists in preparation of meals, snacks and beverages.
• Responsible for or assists in assembling trays, cleaning and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Continuously cleans food service work areas as food preparation and service is done.
• Labels nourishment and sends or transports them to resident floors.
• Transporting trays and carts to or from the resident floors.
• Uses all equipment according to manufacturer instructions. Follow proper cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food supplies and prepares food in accord with department procedures and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Follows facility policies and procedures for infection control at all times to maintain sanitary preparation and storage areas. Uses personal protective equipment when indicated.
• Follow facility procedures for resident trays that require special handling.
• Inspects food service work areas for evidence of rodents or pests, safety, or fire hazards, housekeeping and maintenance problems. Corrects problem and/or reports problems promptly to Director of Food Service.
• Communicates with Director of Food Service or Assistant Director of Food Service throughout shift as needed to best meet needs of residents.
• Assists department head with preparation for state inspections. Attends survey training. Interacts with state surveyors as instructed by supervisor.
• Attends in-service education as assigned. Applies information to job tasks.
• Reports injury to self and others to supervisory immediately
• Must follow CMS mandate/guidelines for vaccination

We are hiring Full-time & Part-time positions

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Food service or the Assistant Food Service Director, the Food Service Aide works in the kitchen assisting in the preparation and service of food and follows a cleaning schedule. The service of food may include the transporting of food trays to the nursing units.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
