The Dishwasher is a vital part of our kitchen staff, responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all cooking and serving utensils, as well as other items. This role supports the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen and dining area, ensuring compliance with health standards.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a steady workflow to meet the needs of the kitchen and dining area, preventing backups of dirty dishes.
- Ensure all cleaned items are sanitized and restocked promptly.
- Monitor and maintain dishwashing equipment, reporting issues to management.
- Keep track of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
- Assist in keeping the back of the house and restrooms clean and orderly.
- Manage waste disposal efficiently, keeping garbage areas clean.
- Follow safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Adhere to company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Perform additional cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience with dishwashing machines and cleaning supplies.
- Ability to thoroughly wash, sanitize, and dry kitchenware and utensils.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in operating kitchen tools and equipment safely.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to multitask and work calmly under pressure.
- Comfortable working in confined, noisy, and variable temperature environments.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and moving throughout the shift.
