Regency at Dominion Valley Club — Haymarket, VA is seeking a Utility Worker (Dishwasher) to keep dishes moving, maintain a clean kitchen, and support a fast-paced service.

This full-time role with Up To Par Management / Taylor Hospitality offers $15.00-$17.00 per hour depending on experience, with opportunities to advance within a hospitality team.

You will gain hands-on experience in sanitation, safety practices, and teamwork in a club setting, taking pride in a clean, well-run operation.

Qualifications

  • Maintain the sanitary condition of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment, and the kitchen to standards.
  • Safely and efficiently operate the dish machine per manual.
  • Ensure proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing.
  • Remove damaged or broken dishes, utensils, or glassware from service.

Responsibilities

  • Stock delivered food and non-food items.
  • Empty and clear garbage bins and break down boxes.
  • Perform deep cleaning of the kitchen and equipment.
  • Attend all training and department meetings as assigned.

Utility Worker (Dishwasher)

About the Role

Our kitchen doesn't run without the Utility Worker. You are the person who keeps clean plates moving to the line, keeps the dish room and kitchen sanitary, and keeps the whole operation on its feet during a busy service. It's physical, fast-paced work — and it's the backbone of every meal we serve to our members and guests.

Utility Workers wash and sanitize all dishes, pots, serving containers, tools, and utensils; maintain a clean and safe work station; and clean and sanitize floors, work surfaces, and kitchen/serving equipment. Depending on the day and the operation, you may be assigned a specific focal area such as the beverage area, dish room, main kitchen, or serving area.

Compensation

$15.00 - $17.00 depending experience

What You'll Do
  • Maintain the sanitary condition of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment, and the kitchen in accordance with department standards
  • Safely and efficiently operate the dish machine according to the procedure manual
  • Ensure proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing
  • Remove from service any dishes, utensils, or glassware that are damaged or broken
  • Stock delivered food and non-food items
  • Empty and clear garbage bins and break down boxes
  • Perform deep cleaning of the kitchen and equipment
  • Attend all training and department meetings as assigned
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment at all times
  • Help maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention, care of equipment, and safe work practices
  • Maintain a positive, professional demeanor toward all guests, associates, and management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Schedule

Full-time. Frequent evening and weekend work is required, including holidays, based on club and event schedules.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This position frequently requires:

  • Standing, walking, and sitting throughout the shift
  • Talking and hearing; hand and finger dexterity; visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information
  • Climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling
  • Lifting, pushing, or carrying items up to 50 pounds
  • Working in wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)
  • Working near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places
  • Working around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
  • Exposure to outside weather conditions and to extreme heat or cold (non-weather)

Occasional exposure to loud noise and to bloodborne/airborne pathogens or infectious materials.
