Job summary

Fields Senior Living is seeking a detail-oriented team player to assist in dishwashing and kitchen sanitation. You will clean dishes, maintain chemical levels, sanitize work areas, and ensure a safe dining environment.

This role requires strict adherence to health and cleanliness standards and reliable participation in in-services as needed. Applicants must be 18+, pass background checks, hold a Food Handlers Card and First Aid certification, and communicate clearly in English.

Qualifications

• Must pass Criminal Background Check.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Maintain current Food Handlers Card and First Aid.
• Ability to communicate clearly in standard English.

Responsibilities

• Wash all dishes needed for dining room service, then finish pots and pans.
• Test and ensure dishwasher and sink chemicals are in proper dilution every 4 hours.
• Clean and sanitize service carts, sinks, drains and workroom.
• Sweep and mop floors regularly.
• Take out trash and cardboard after meals.
• Operate temp dishwasher at shift start and periodic checks.
• Follow kitchen cleaning schedule and complete tasks promptly.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Wash all dishes needed to set the dining room first, then finish pots, pans, etc.
• Ensure chemicals for dishwasher and sinks are in working order, testing chemical dilution every 4 hours.
• Clean and sanitize service carts, sinks and drains and sanitize workroom appropriately.
• Sweep and mop as frequently.
• Take out all trash and cardboard after every meal.
• Temp dishwasher at beginning of shift and periodically after that. Draining water as directed and cleaning dish machine at end of the night.
• Follow kitchen cleaning schedule, completing tasks in a timely manner.
• Keep environment safe and clean.
• All other duties as assigned.

Additional Functions:

• Must be detail and team-work oriented.
• Must attend required in-services/ workshops to further education of skills and community requirements.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check, Health Screening including TB test.
• Must be eighteen (18) years old.
• Maintain current Food Handlers Card and First Aid.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally in standard English.
• The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the workday; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach.
• Must be willing to be active and on feet during entire work shift.
• Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous activities.
• Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/hand items
