Job summary

Electric Hospitality in Atlanta is seeking a dishwasher/prep to support our bustling kitchen with cleaning and sanitizing pots, pans, and silverware, while assisting with basic food preparation to uphold top cleanliness standards.

As part of a team, you will organize dry storage and walk-in refrigeration, maintain sanitation levels, and coordinate with colleagues to prioritize dishwashing, floor care, and waste removal in a vibrant restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes pots, pans, bus tubs, trays, and storage racks, etc., by running them through the dish machine or by using an effective three-compartment sink method to ensure clean, sanitized supplies are available
• Cleans, sanitizes, and prepares silverware with appropriate chemicals and maintains soak trays’ effectiveness
• Sets up sanitizer buckets with hot water and appropriate chemicals and adheres to proper PH levels. Ensures proper storage of cleaning cloths
• Organizes and straightens dry storage and walk-in refrigerator to maintain cleanliness and organization standards
• Places incoming product from vendor into dry storage or walk-in refrigerator to maintain proper storage and preserve the freshness of food products
• Cleans and sanitizes workstation surfaces, utensils, floors, and equipment using solvents and cleaning materials (buckets, washcloths, gloves, brushes, towels) to maintain a sanitary cooking environment and a clean appearance
• Communicates with other team members to determine which dishes, pots, pans, etc. need to be cleaned first
• Mixes sanitizing solution and water in mop bucket to prepare for cleaning floors
• Mops floors using a mop and bucket of sanitizing solution to maintain cleanliness
• Sweeps floors under tables and booths using a broom and dustpan to remove debris and dirt
• Disassembles dish machine to remove paper and food debris
• Re-lines trash cans with plastic bags and distributes cans to kitchen, dish area, etc., to maintain cleanliness of station
• Transports boxes and trash bags from kitchen, dish area, etc., to dumpsters to maintain restaurant cleanliness
• Sweeps the floor around the station using a floor sweep/broom to maintain restaurant cleanliness
• Cleans and sanitizes dumpster pad area to maintain sanitation standards and curb appeal
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms to maintain sanitation and appearance standards
• Reads work schedule to determine when next shift and work time will occur
• Checks out with a manager and performs additional side duties as assigned
