Job Summary

The Dishwasher/Prep Cook ensures that wares for the front and back of the house are clean and sanitized. They may also be asked to assist with preparing foods for cooking and/or serving.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Wash all wares including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
• Correctly place and store clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
• Stock serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
• Clean trash receptacles with water or steam.
• Move dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work area by hand or using hand trucks.
• Assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
• Ensure work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned. The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

• Ability to meet restaurant standards for health, safety, and cleanliness.

Education and Experience

• Restaurant or kitchen experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of walking or standing.
• Able to climb ladders and stairs.
• Twist, bend, stoop, reach, pull, and wipe frequently.
• Immerse hands in water regularly.
• Work in hot and damp environments.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
