Job summary

Sifted is hiring a Dishwasher/Porter for our culinary team in Sunnyvale, CA. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with daily lunch provided.

You will work alongside an executive chef in our commissary kitchen to maintain food safety and cleanliness while supporting fast-paced service. The ideal candidate has prior kitchen or catering experience, strong communication skills, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen roles such as line cook, prep/dishwasher, porter.
• Experience with catering and event servicing.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand; lift up to 50 lbs.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification required.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing
• Receiving and storing food shipments
• Cleaning and organizing walk in and dry storage
• Cleaning and closing duties (trash, cardboard)
• Light food prep
• Communicating with chef and manager about any kitchen related issues
