Job summary

Red Door Woodfired Grill in Lenexa, KS is hiring a Dishwasher to support our kitchen team in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

You will be responsible for washing, sanitizing, and organizing dishes, maintaining a clean dish area, and assisting with basic prep and cleanup throughout shifts. This hourly role offers opportunities for growth into prep or line cook as you prove reliability and work ethic.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen with heat and moisture.
• Prior kitchen experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment to standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area and back‑of‑house stations.
• Operate dish machines safely and monitor chemical levels and water temps.
• Keep clean dishes stocked for culinary and service teams during the shift.
• Assist with waste management, including trash removal and recycling.
• Support the culinary team by cleaning prep tools and small wares as needed.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and food handling standards with proper storage.
• Communicate effectively with the culinary team during busy service periods.
• Assist with closing duties, including cleaning floors, drains, and equipment.
• Uphold Red Door’s professional standards in appearance and teamwork.
