Position Summary

Events by RHC is looking to hire a Part-time Dishwasher:

Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $18 to $19.

About the Venue

EVENTS BY RHC is a boutique off-premise caterer based in New York City. Inspired by international cuisine, modern dining, and exceptional service, we bring a modern take to event dining.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Washes pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.
• Sort and stack clean dishes; carry clean dishes to proper storage areas.
• Assist in areas in the kitchen when needed.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, cutting boards, and other food prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers. At end of shift, put trash outside in designated areas.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimal work experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 30 pounds.
• Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.
• Flexible shift hours (Sunday required).
