Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living in Newtown, CT is seeking a Part Time Dishwasher for Friday and Saturday shifts (8:00 am - 4:00 pm) in the Dining department. This role focuses on keeping dishes, cookware, and utensils clean and sanitary to support a smooth kitchen operation for residents.

Qualifications

• Communication in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Experience preferred but training available
• Familiar with basic kitchen equipment and dishwashing machinery

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
• Keep kitchen, dish room, and work areas clean and organized
• Remove trash and recycling after each meal
• Clean and dry dishwashing equipment and floors at shift end
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards
• Arrive on time in proper uniform, ready to work
• Support daily dining operations with kitchen staff
• Assist with food preparation and stocking as needed

As a Dishwasher, you'll play an essential role in creating a safe, welcoming dining experience for our residents. Your work helps ensure every meal is served in a clean, sanitary environment while supporting the kitchen team behind the scenes.

What You Will do:

As a Dishwasher, you will:

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
• Keep the kitchen, dish room, and work areas clean and organized
• Remove trash and recycling after each meal
• Clean and dry dishwashing equipment and floors at the end of each shift
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards
• Arrive on time, in proper uniform, and ready to work
• Work closely with kitchen staff to support daily dining operations
• Assist with food preparation, stocking supplies, inventory, and deliveries as needed
