Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living at Newtown (166 Mt Pleasant Rd, Newtown, CT 06470) is seeking a Full-Time Dishwasher to support our dining team. Working hours are 8am–4pm, with responsibilities that keep dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment clean and ready for residents.

You will be part of a collaborative team focused on safe, sanitary dining experiences for our residents, with opportunities to assist in food prep and stocking as needed.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with basic kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
• Keep the kitchen, dish room, and work areas clean and organized
• Remove trash and recycling after each meal
• Clean and dry dishwashing equipment and floors at the end of each shift
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards
• Arrive on time, in proper uniform, and ready to work
• Work closely with kitchen staff to support daily dining operations
• Assist with food preparation, stocking supplies, inventory, and deliveries as needed

As a Dishwasher, you'll play an essential role in creating a safe, welcoming dining experience for our residents. Your work helps ensure every meal is served in a clean, sanitary environment while supporting the kitchen team behind the scenes.

What You Will do:

As a Dishwasher, you will:

• Basic knife skills are a plus.
