Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining at University Liggett School in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, is seeking a part-time dishwashing assistant. Schedule runs Monday through Friday from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm, with some weekends and evenings required.

No previous experience is necessary; on-the-job training is provided, and pay ranges from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour. Maintaining a clean kitchen area, pots, pans, and utensils, while adhering to safety and sanitation standards, is essential.

Qualifications

• No prior experience is required.
• Part-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:30 am to 3:00 pm; some weekends and evenings.
• Pay range: $17.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays and ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silver using standard procedures and maintains sanitation.
• Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as provided by standards.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
