Job description

Job Description: Part of a nationwide family of Continuing Care Retirement Communities, seeking a Dishwasher. The purpose of this position is to operate the dishwashing machine and maintain all nutrition services storage areas in an orderly manner. Assists in other kitchen areas with maintenance of the dish room and equipment, all in accordance with standard procedures of the dining services department.

Responsibilities:

1. Deliver clean water pitchers to nursing stations.
2. Maintain stock areas neatly and orderly daily.
3. Transport carts to and from dining areas.
4. Operate the dishwashing machine.
5. Monitor and record water temperatures and cleaning compound usage.
6. Perform cleaning assignments as directed.
7. Clean and wash food service carts, dishes, utensils, trays, pots, pans, etc., and store them properly.
8. Use proper sanitation in all food and service areas.
9. Maintain cleanliness in all work areas, equipment, and appliances.
10. Deliver food requests to stations as needed.
11. Keep kitchen work areas and dining rooms free of dirty dishes.
12. Perform other cleaning assignments as directed.
13. Sweep and mop floors and work areas.
14. Assist in transporting residents during emergencies such as fire or disaster evacuation, following proper procedures.

Schedule:

10 am - 7 pm, Friday and Saturday only.

Qualifications:

• Effective communication in English, both oral and written, with residents, family members, and staff, required.

Compensation:

Pay Range: $16.00 - $19.50
