Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities, LLC is seeking a part-time kitchen/dishwashing helper in Kansas. You will wash dishes, utensils, and glassware for dining room resets, and sanitize equipment according to cleaning schedules. Maintain clean dish room and kitchen areas as part of daily tasks.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 30 lbs, and teamwork within an interdisciplinary kitchen. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required; benefits include health and other insurance

Qualifications

• Must be a self starter and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Able to communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Physically capable of standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout shift.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and push/pull up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Dish and pot washing, and general cleaning duties.
• Wash utensils, chinaware, eating utensils, and glassware for dining room resets.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, and kitchen areas.
• Clean dish room, sweep and mop floors, and maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas.

Job Description

Schedule: Part Time, Days and Hours Vary. Weekends and holidays may be required.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Perform necessary responsibility for dish and pot washing, and general cleaning duties.
• Wash all utensils, chinaware, eating utensils, and glassware for reset of dining room.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Clean dish room, including washing floor mats, draining and cleaning dishwasher and shining stainless steel.
• Sweep and mop dish room, kitchen floors, storage areas and other areas pertaining to kitchen.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• Must be self starter.
• Must be able to communicate in an interdisciplinary team.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk and move frequently during working hours.
• Must be able to lift, and carry up to 30 lbs. and push or pull up to 40 lbs.
