Job summary

Palm Creek Resort & Residences in Casa Grande, AZ, is seeking a seasonal part-time Dishwasher earning $16 per hour. You will keep dishes, glassware, and utensils clean and sanitized, assist in food prep when needed, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Requirements include high school education (GED preferred) and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Prior restaurant or customer service experience is a plus. Health and benefits details are provided by Sun Outdoors.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes all dishes, flatware, glassware, and utensils.
• Sorts and stacks clean dishes and transports them to the proper area.
• Operates dishwashing machines safely per manufacturer specs.
• Measures detergent and sanitizer amounts accurately.
• Handle tableware and glassware to prevent breakage.
• Empty kitchen trash regularly.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dish areas; sweep and mop.
• Assists with basic food preparation as needed.
• Adheres to safety and sanitation policies.

Overview

Dishwashers are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitization of all dishes, glassware, tableware, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. They also ensure the dishwashing area is maintained, clean, safe and sanitary.

Job Duties

• Cleans and sanitizes all dishes, flatware, glassware, and kitchen pots, pans and utensils (Essential)
• Sorts and stacks clean dishes; carries clean dishes to cooking area or other proper storage area (Essential)
• Operates dish washing machines safely and according to manufacturer specifications (Essential)
• Utilizes proper measurements of detergent and sanitizer chemical amounts in dish machines
• Handles tableware and glassware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
• Empties kitchen trash on a regular basis
• Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen and dish areas including sweeping floors and clearing dirty dishes from cooking area
• Performs shift opening and closing duties including cleaning kitchen mats, sweeping, and mopping kitchen and dishwashing areas
• Assists with food preparation work as needed
• Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• Some High School Education (Required)
• 6 months in Previous restaurant or customer service experience (Preferred)
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Strong communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Must be able to pass the Safe Food Handler Certificate Program within 60 days from date of hire
