Canterbury Woods, Pacific Grove

This is an on-call position primarily working from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Occasionally, you may be scheduled for 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM as needed.

Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Dining Services or Executive Chef, the Dishwasher is responsible for washing and cleaning tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dish-room and equipment.

Detailed Responsibilities:

1. Food Service Dishwasher
2. Provide quality customer service to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors to ensure satisfaction.
3. Load, operate, and unload the dish machine.
4. Keep the dish machine clean and report any problems immediately.
5. Monitor water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
6. Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
7. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
8. Keep the dish room clean and organized.
9. Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining and kitchen use.
10. Bag and haul dish room trash to the dumpster at designated times, safely lifting bags and cases.
11. Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
12. Maintain sufficient supplies of dish detergents and cleaning materials.
13. Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
14. Assist as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations, as directed by your supervisor.
15. Work in a standing position in hot, wet, humid, and noisy environments for extended periods.
16. Follow the highest standards of cleanliness and adhere to all health and safety policies and guidelines.
17. Perform duties safely and efficiently, wearing safety equipment as required, and report hazards or accidents.
18. Participate in safety programs and attend mandatory in-service meetings.
19. Understand and follow facility fire and disaster procedures during drills and emergencies.

Credentials:

Education (Essential):

Some high school education or equivalent qualifications.

Experience (Nonessential):

0 years and 1 month of related experience or training.
