Responsibilities

• Support the culinary team with basic kitchen organization and cleaning tasks as needed.
• Communicate equipment issues, shortages, or damaged items to management.

Descripción del Puesto

MIKA Coral Gables, restaurante del reconocido Chef Michael White, está buscando un Lavaplatos / Steward responsable, trabajador y comprometido para formar parte de nuestro equipo de cocina.

Buscamos una persona organizada, puntual y con atención al detalle, que contribuya a mantener los más altos estándares de limpieza, higiene y organización, apoyando al equipo culinario para brindar una experiencia gastronómica excepcional.

Responsabilidades Principales

• Lavar, desinfectar y almacenar correctamente platos, vasos, copas, cubiertos, ollas, sartenes y utensilios de cocina.

• Operar y mantener las máquinas lavaplatos industriales siguiendo los procedimientos de seguridad e higiene.

• Mantener limpia y organizada el área de lavado, los pisos de cocina, drenajes y áreas de trabajo asignadas.

• Manipular cuidadosamente la cristalería, vajilla y cubiertos para evitar roturas, pérdidas y daños.

• Realizar tareas generales de limpieza, incluyendo retirar basura, barrer, trapear y mantener las estaciones sanitarias.

• Utilizar y almacenar correctamente los productos químicos y materiales de limpieza.

• Cumplir con las normas de seguridad alimentaria, higiene y regulaciones del Departamento de Salud.

• Colaborar con el equipo de cocina en tareas básicas de limpieza y organización cuando sea necesario.

• Informar a los supervisores sobre equipos dañados, falta de suministros o cualquier problema operativo.

• Trabajar de manera eficiente durante períodos de alto volumen, manteniendo siempre los estándares de limpieza y seguridad.

Requisitos y Calificaciones

• Experiencia previa como lavaplatos o en cocina es preferible, pero no indispensable.

• Capacidad para trabajar en un restaurante de alto volumen y ritmo dinámico.

• Atención al detalle, limpieza y organización.

• Capacidad para permanecer de pie durante períodos prolongados y levantar hasta 50 libras (aproximadamente 23 kg).

• Disponibilidad para trabajar noches, fines de semana y días festivos según las necesidades del restaurante.

• Capacidad para trabajar de manera independiente y en equipo.

• Actitud positiva, responsabilidad, puntualidad y buena ética de trabajo.

• Conocimientos básicos de higiene y seguridad en cocina son una ventaja.
