Job summary

Holbrook Life Management- Decatur LLC is seeking a Dishwasher / Utility Worker to maintain a clean, safe, and organized dish and utility operation supporting the dining services. The role is essential for service readiness, resident safety, and kitchen flow in Holbrook dining operations.

Responsibilities include operating dish machines, washing and organizing dishware, maintaining back-of-house cleanliness, and assisting cooks and service teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required; dish/utility/janitorial experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Operate dish machine, three-compartment sink, and related equipment safely and sanitation standards.
• Wash, sanitize, organize, and store dishes, glassware, silverware, and cooking tools.
• Maintain cleanliness of dish room, storage, floors, drains, walls, carts, and back-of-house areas.
• Clean coffee, tea, beverage, and service equipment daily (iced tea/coffee machines).
• Support proper chemical use, sanitizer concentration, and PPE usage.
• Assist with trash removal, recycling, floor care, spill cleanup, and safe storage of tools.
• Keep kitchen items organized to reduce breakage and wear.
• Assist cooks and service teams with transport, stocking, and cleaning as needed.
• Follow opening/closing and cleaning checklists with accountability.
• Report equipment issues and supply needs to leadership.
