Job summary

Carnation Farms is seeking a part-time Kitchen Support and Dishwasher to help keep our kitchen running during regular production and special events. This role offers weekend and evening shifts with a minimum of 20 hours per week and flexibility for event-driven hours.

Training will be provided; dependability and a strong work ethic are valued. You’ll support cleanliness, safety, and smooth operation of the kitchen, adapting to varying schedules and event demands.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience is not required; training provided.
• We’re looking for someone who shows up, works hard, and takes pride in doing a job well.
• Willing to learn and receptive to direction and feedback.
• Notices what needs to be done and is willing to jump in and help.
• Comfortable with repetitive, physical work and standing for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Able to satisfactorily complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate the commercial dishwashing machine safely and efficiently.
• Keep the dish area clean, organized, and moving throughout each shift.
• Maintain a steady supply of clean dishes, cookware, and equipment for the Culinary Team.
• Assist with general kitchen cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, trash and recycling, and cleaning and sanitizing surfaces.
• Help maintain clean and organized kitchen, storage, and back‑of‑house areas.
• Support event setup, service, breakdown, and cleanup as needed.
• Keep pace with increased dish volume during events and busy production periods.
• Jump in with basic kitchen support tasks when needed and when dishwashing responsibilities allow.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety practices.
• Communicate with the Culinary Team and respond to changing priorities throughout the shift.
• Help wherever needed to keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly.
