Job summary

Wingate Living is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support the Dining Department in a healthcare-minded senior living community. You will wash dishes, pots, and utensils, and help maintain clean kitchen and dining areas, following safety and infection-control procedures.

Ideal candidates are reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a focus on cleanliness. Prior dietary service experience in healthcare or senior living is preferred, and flexible shifts including weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous dietary service experience preferred, ideally in healthcare, hospitality, or senior living.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, detail, and organization.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, tableware, glasses and kitchen equipment; ensure proper storage.
• Perform dishwashing, pot and pan washing; assist in cleaning kitchen areas.
• Assist in cleaning work areas, dining room furniture, and floors after meals and events.
• Follow safety and infection-control procedures; report issues to supervisor.
• Attend department meetings and trainings as scheduled.
