Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or food establishment is preferred but not required; we value a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
• Current Food Handlers Certification
• Attention to detail to ensure that dishes and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Enthusiasm for contributing to the behind-the-scenes success of The Sandy Pickle's dining experience.
• Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate shifts during different times of the day and week, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Organize and store cleaned items in an orderly manner to facilitate easy access for the kitchen team.
• Assist with kitchen prep tasks as needed, including peeling, chopping, and other basic food preparation activities.
• Empty trash cans and maintain cleanliness in all kitchen and dining areas.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of dishes, minimizing wait times for guests.
• Monitor and maintain proper functioning of dishwashing equipment, reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Work efficiently to keep up with the pace of the kitchen during busy periods.
• Support the kitchen team with other tasks as directed by supervisors.
