Courtyard by Marriott – Shelton, CT is seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our hospitality team. This role keeps the kitchen running smoothly and guests happy in a fast-paced hotel environment.

No prior experience is required as on-the-job training is provided; candidate must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs, be reliable and punctual, and work well in a team. Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hot and wet kitchen environment.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic understanding of kitchen sanitation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish station and kitchen areas
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and properly
• Remove trash and maintain sanitation standards throughout the kitchen
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks as needed
• Restock clean dishes, utensils, and supplies to the line and service areas
• Follow all health, safety, and food sanitation guidelines
