Job summary

The Deer Park Tavern in Newark, DE is seeking a motivated Dishwasher to join our team. You will help transport and clean cooking utensils, maintain clean work areas, and support the kitchen and service staff in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include washing pots and pans, restocking supplies, and assisting line cooks with prep and storage. The role requires standing for long periods and the ability to multitask in a busy dining environment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food service regulations preferred, not required.
• Able to operate hand tools or machines needed for the position.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Able to prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Wash pots, pans, and trays and polish silverware.
• Segregate and remove trash and place it in the designated containers.
• Sweep and mop floors, wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and all other surface areas.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas; restock tools and supplies for the next shift.
• Maintain temperature logs; keep walk-in cooler/freezer organized.
• Help line cooks properly prep, store, and date food.
• Break down cardboard boxes and maintain clean dumpster area.
