Job summary

Legends Global at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, VA, is hiring a Dishwasher responsible for maintaining all small wares and kitchen areas in a clean, organized manner. The role reports to the Executive Chef and offers $17.00 hourly compensation.

Major duties include weekly chemical inventory, ensuring water changes during shifts, and backup support for concessions and Food & Beverage services during events.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a commercial dish machine is preferred.
• Basic food preparation experience is preferred.
• Ability to take direction and work well in a team environment.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Taking weekly inventory of chemicals.
• Ensure water changes are happening every 2-4 hours per shift.
• Training and developing staff in the absence of management.
• Wash, sanitize, and store all china, flatware, glassware, utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
• Ensure dirty small wares are collected and returned to the dish area; organize clean wares.
• Maintain the kitchen and small wares storage areas in an organized fashion.
• Clean and organize all food prep areas daily.
• Provide in-stand backup to concessions outlet as needed.
• Provide busing and cleanup support for Food & Beverage services as needed.
• Meet uniform and appearance standards at all times.
