Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing & Sanitation: Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using approved procedures.
• Operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently.
• Properly sort, stack, and store cleaned items in designated storage areas.
• Monitor and maintain dishwashing equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Replenish cleaning chemicals and supplies as needed.
• Kitchen Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen work areas, floors, walls, drains, and storage spaces.
• Remove trash, recycling, and food waste regularly and dispose of materials according to established procedures.
• Assist with cleaning refrigerators, freezers, shelving, and food preparation areas.
• Support kitchen opening and closing cleaning duties.
• Ensure workstation organization and cleanliness throughout each shift.
• Operational Support: Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as directed.
• Receive and properly store deliveries when needed.
• Help transport supplies, equipment, and products throughout the kitchen and banquet areas.
• Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Support culinary and banquet operations during peak periods and special events.
• Teamwork & Communication: Work closely with chefs, cooks, stewards, and service staff to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
• Respond promptly to operational needs and requests from kitchen leadership.
• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and ongoing development opportunities.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude while contributing to a collaborative work environment.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all company policies, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to safety guidelines.
