Sun Health seeks a dedicated Dishwasher (Kitchen Steward) to maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization in the kitchen at a Sun Health community in Surprise, AZ. The role includes routine cleaning, dishwashing and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate safe knife handling.
• Ability to obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or currently hold one.
• Maricopa County Food Handlers Card at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to maintain safety and sanitation.
• Washes tables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Cleans dishes, glassware, flatware, equipment and utensils according to local law.
• Removes trash and manages disposal.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet setup and with loading/unloading supplies.
• Labels, dates and stores all food items properly.
• Distributes supplies and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Assists with food prep and other duties as assigned.
• Attends facility in-services as required by supervisor and policy.
• Demonstrates Sun Health Vibrant Living culture through daily service.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Properly cleans dishes, glassware, flatware, equipment and other utensils in accordance with local law.
• Removes trash and places it into designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet table and buffet set up.
• Assists with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Labels, dates and properly stores all food items.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Assists with food preparation and other duties as assigned.
• Attends facility In-services as required by supervisor and facility policy.

Your Qualifications

• Must be able to demonstrate safe knife handling.
• Possess current or has the ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
• Maricopa County Food Handlers Card at time of hire.
