Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK is seeking dishwashers to maintain cleanliness of dishes, pots, pans, and prep areas. The role involves following safety procedures and supporting a busy kitchen.

Full-time and part-time shifts are available, with hours including days and weekends. The position offers benefits and meals during shifts, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing experience preferred.
• Ability to work in hot, humid, or wet conditions.
• Flexible schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse dirty dishes, wash by hand or place in racks/conveyor to a machine, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays per assigned procedures, ensuring cleanliness.
• Polish silver using burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth per equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as per standards.
• Keep the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food‑prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and place in designated containers; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
