Vale is seeking a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Porter to support daily operations at our Seattle café and production kitchen. This role ensures a clean, organized, and efficient workspace for both café and kitchen service, handling dishes, utensils, and equipment.

You will join a collaborative team in a fast-paced startup environment, with shifts mornings to evenings, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Food Handler Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and café tools.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout kitchen and dish areas.
• Support daily opening, closing, and deep cleaning procedures.
• Take out trash, recycling, and compost as needed.
• Restock cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials.
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.
• Help maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Support kitchen and café staff with general operational tasks as needed.

The Role

Vale is seeking a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Porter to support daily operations at our Seattle café and production kitchen. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace for both café and kitchen operations. You'll support the culinary and beverage team by ensuring all equipment, dishes, tools, and work areas remain clean, stocked, and ready for service. This is an ideal role for someone who takes pride in cleanliness, works well in fast-paced environments, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications (not Required)

• Food service or café experience
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment
• Food Handler Certification

Schedule & Expectations

• Full-time position
• Weekend availability required
• Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts may be scheduled
• Must be dependable and maintain consistent attendance
