Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Kitchen/Dishwashing Team Member in New York, NY. The role focuses on washing, sanitizing, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness, while delivering courteous service to customers and team members.

You will support food safety standards, assist with deliveries, and help with merchandising and price accuracy as needed. The position requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and variable temperatures.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares.
• Maintains cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area.
• Assists with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products.
• Arrives to work station on time, groomed, dressed and ready to work; participates in trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses customer needs promptly, and models suggestive selling techniques.
• Preps, stores, rotates, stocks, and merchandises products to maximize sales potential.
• Follows and enforces health, sanitation, weights and measures, and safety procedures.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment; ensures equipment safety.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy and reports hazards.
• Performs other duties assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.
