Job summary

Hard Rock Cafe Honolulu is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support our busy kitchen. You will maintain cleanliness of glassware, tableware, utensils, and the dish area, operate and monitor the dish machine, and help keep the back-of-house running smoothly in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

A High School diploma or GED is required; food safety certification may be required in some states. You should stay calm under pressure, be organized, and work professionally with teammates.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Food safety certification may be required before serving food or alcohol (varies by state).
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift significant weight.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a clean and organized dish room and work area.

Responsibilities

The Dishwasher position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards of glassware, tableware, utensils, pots & pans using machine and manual methods. The dishwasher position is also responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized dish area.

• Maintaining a clean and organized dish room and work area.
• Cleaning dishes and operating a dish machine.
• Practicing safety and sanitation standards.
• Emptying trash bins
• Communicating professionally with co-workers and Front-of-the-House staff.

Education And Certifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• In some U.S. States, a food safety certification program is required to be completed before being able to serve food or alcohol, which may include a food handlers’ card (i.e., California law requires this)

Physical Demands

• Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.
