Job summary

Tupelo Honey is hiring for a dishwasher role. You will execute directives across shifts, operate and maintain the dish machine, and ensure sanitation by monitoring water temperature and organizing kitchenware for the front of house. The position emphasizes safety with chemicals and proper handling of cleaning supplies.

No prior restaurant experience is required, and the role accommodates a range of physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• No previous restaurant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Execute all directives of management throughout all shifts.
• Load, run and unload dish machine.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store all kitchenware. Organize dishware for FOH employees to take out of the dish pit.
• Bag and haul dish room trash before it gets too heavy to be manageable.
• Understand all chemical uses and storage. Keep all chemicals stocked and labeled properly.
