• Location: Upstate Medical University - 750 East Adams Street, Syracuse, NY 13210. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules. Days and hours may vary, including some mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; more details upon interview.

Job Summary

Summary: Maintain dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment, and utensils in sanitary condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scrape and rinse food from dishes, wash by hand or in dishwashing machines, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays as per procedures.
• Polish silverware using appropriate tools and methods.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Maintain proper temperatures and chemical levels.
• Keep dish area orderly and safe.
• Clean kitchen floors, worktables, walls, refrigerators, and food prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and clean garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assist with loading and unloading supplies and products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
