Job Summary

Summary: Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes, washing by hand or using racks/conveyor to dishwashing machine. Ensures cleanliness and sanitation.
• Washes pots, pans, and trays per procedures. Ensures cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silver using burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth as assigned. Ensures cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed.
• Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as standards specify.
• Keeps dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors for safety and sanitation.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash, places in designated containers, and steam cleans or hoses out cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and products.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
