We are hiring immediately for full-time DISHWASHER positions.

Location: HSHS St John's Hospital - 800 East Carpenter Street, Springfield, IL 62769. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time schedule. Days and hours may vary; nights are included. More details upon interview.

Requirement: 1 year of previous dishwashing and sanitation experience is preferred.

Job Summary

Summary: Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment, and utensils in sanitary condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or in dishwashing machines.
• Washes pots, pans, and trays following procedures to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silverware using appropriate equipment and methods.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed.
• Maintains proper temperatures and chemical levels.
• Keeps dish area orderly and complies with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and cleans trash cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assists with loading and unloading supplies and products.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
